What do we do?
At Walton Hall, our approach to behaviour is rooted in nurture, consistency, and connection. We believe that all behaviour is a form of communication, and our aim is to support students to understand and manage their emotions so they can engage successfully in learning and develop positive relationships. Our intent is to create a calm, respectful environment where everyone can emotionally grow and feel valued, safe, and ready to learn. We promote the values of being ready, respectful, and responsible, and encourage every member of our community to model positive behaviour and empathy.

Why do we do it?
Our restorative approach helps students build trust, develop self-regulation, and strengthen their sense of belonging. By focusing on relationships rather than sanctions, we see students take greater responsibility for their actions, show improved engagement in learning, and demonstrate greater respect for themselves and others. The calm, nurturing ethos at Walton Hall Academy enables every student to progress emotionally, socially, and academically giving them the tools to flourish in their adult life.
